Nursing Assessment
Our Nursing Care service at First In Caring prioritises doing thorough and complete assessments for our NDIS participants and Aged Care clients. Assessments are an important first step in understanding each individual’s unique needs, preferences, and aspirations, allowing us to create personalised care plans that meet their specific needs.
When meeting a new participant or client for the first time, our team of skilled nurses begins the assessment process. We start by acquiring extensive information about the person’s medical history, current health state, and any existing health issues. We also take the time to learn about their personal situation, living environment, and support system.
What we do best
We actively listen to your concerns, preferences, and aspirations, ensuring that your voice is heard and your choices are valued throughout the assessment process.
During the assessment, we also evaluate the client’s functional abilities and any areas where they may require assistance or support. This includes assessing activities of daily living (ADLs) such as mobility, personal care,
Collaboration with the client’s healthcare providers, specialist and allied health experts involved in their care is required during the assessment process. Our experienced nurses participate in reviewing medical reports, test results, and any relevant information to gain a thorough picture of the client’s health and care requirements.
