POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Position Title: Registered Nurse

Location: Head Office and Various

EBA / Award: Nurse (Victorian Public Health Sector)

Classification: Registered Nurse: Grade 2 Year 1-10 (YP2-YP11)

Position reports to: Director

Position Overview:

As a clinical nurse your practice will lead to excellence in patient care. You understand the importance of establishing a relationship between the patient and yourself in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for your patients. You demonstrate the core nursing values of patient centred care, trust, and respect in every interaction with patients, support workers, and colleagues. As a Nurse, you are accountable for establishing and evaluating the patient’s Care Plan in partnership with the patient, their support workers, and other members of their health care team. You will be supported in your role as a clinical nurse by all other nursing positions.

Supervision:

All nurses must abide by the AHPRA Code of Conduct as well as the organisation’s Code of Conduct.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Active and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
  • Valid National Police Check
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Valid Covid-19 Infection Control Training
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Familiarity with writing comprehensive nursing care plans that encompass all aspects of clients’ physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Adept at collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and integrated care delivery.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans that align with clients’ goals and requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience working closely with disability participants and aged care clients, demonstrating empathy and a client-centered approach.
